Memorandum
Date: July 23, 2024
To: The Honorable Lake County Board of Supervisors
From: Susan Parker, County Administrative Officer
Subject: Adopt Resolution Amending Resolution No. 2024-68 Amending Position Allocations for Fiscal Year 2024-2025, Budget Unit No. 2603 Code Enforcement and Budget Unit No. 2702 Planning
Executive Summary:
The position allocation resolution will amend position allocations to budget unit 2603 Code Enforcement and budget unit 2702 Planning.
Budget unit 2603 Code Enforcement currently has two unfunded Code Enforcement Officers. These positions were inadvertently unfunded when revisions were being processed. The budget does include funding for these positions, so no further changes are needed.
Budget unit 2702 Planning currently has one Assistant Planner I/II/Associate Planner unfunded and one unfunded upon next vacancy. The department requests to fund the Assistant Planner I/II/Associate Planner and un-fund one senior planner. The one unfunded Assistant Planner I/II/Associate Planner upon next vacancy will remain. The budget does include the savings from this change, so no further changes are needed.
Staff recommends approving the amended position allocation resolution to allow the Community Development Department to recruit for these positions.
