Subject: Approve Award of Bid for the Nice Lucerne Cutoff Asphalt Rehabilitation Project; Bid No. 24-16 Federal Project No: CRASL-5914(126) with Lamon Construction Co., Inc in the amount of $210,215.20 and Authorize the Chair to Sign the Notice of Award and Agreement.

Executive Summary:

The Purchasing Department publicly opened bids for the subject project on Friday, March 21, 2024. Three (3) bids were received, and the apparent lowest responsible bidder was Lamon Construction Co., Inc. Please refer to the attached bid tabulation.

The project is fully funded from the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021 - Covid Relief Program. The scope of the project is a 2" and 2-1/2" mill and fill on Nice-Lucerne Cutoff from Lyons Road to the intersection at Lakeshore Blvd. The mill and fill will be followed by traffic striping, pavement markings, and final cleanup along the 1041LF of the project.
