Subject: Adopt Resolution Authorizing the Health Services Director to Sign Grant Agreement #24-10824, in the Amount of $47,010, for the California Department of Public Health's (CDPH) HIV/AIDS Surveillance Program for FY 2025-2029

Executive Summary:

Health Services has been awarded $47,010 by California Department of Public Health (CDPH) to continue our HIV Surveillance Program for Fiscal Years 2025-2029, and respectfully asks your Board to adopt the resolution authorizing the Health Services Director to sign the Grant Agreement accepting funds.

The HIV Surveillance program focuses on the following goals:

* Maintaining infrastructure for HIV surveillance by establishing and maintaining HIV case surveillance in health, medical, public health, and social services settings.
* Collecting and submitting accurate, complete, and timely HIV surveillance data to the Office of AIDS (OA) that meet all data requirements set forth by the OA and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
* Maintaining data security and confidentiality, ensuring that protected health information is stored and disclosed only in a manner consistent with California and federal laws and regulations as well as OA policies and procedures.
* Conducting HIV surveillance activities in a manner consistent with administrative, fiscal, budgetary and program guidance from CDPH, OA and CDC that ensure program compliance.
* Continue collaboration with partners to respond to the HIV epidemic, facilitating sharing data and resources to support progress toward meeting California's Integrated Statewide Strategic Plan goals and objectives.
