Subject: a) Rescind Resolutions No. 2025-35 and 2024-34, Resolutions Approving an Application for Funding and the Execution of a Grant Agreement and any amendments thereto from the 2023-2024 Funding Year of the State CDBG Mitigation Resilience Infrastructure (MIT-RIP) Program; and b) Adopt corrected Resolution Approving an Application for Funding and the Execution of a Grant Agreement and any amendments thereto from the 2023-2024 Funding Year of the State CDBG Mitigation Resilience Infrastructure (MIT-RIP) Program
Executive Summary:
The purpose of MIT-RIP is to assist local jurisdictions with mitigation-related infrastructure needs to support risk reduction from the three primary hazards (wildfire, flooding, and earthquake). MIT-RIP Projects must meet the HUD definition of mitigation, "activities that increase resilience to disasters and reduce or eliminate the long-term risk of loss of life, in-jury, damage to and loss of property, and suffering and hardship by lessening the impact of future disasters."
A Public Hearing was scheduled before your Board on March 26, 2024, for consideration of a Resolution approving an application for funding and the execution of a grant agreement and any amendments thereto from the 2023-2024 funding year of the State CDBG Mitigation Resilience Infrastructure (MIT-RIP) Program. The County of Lake had been allocated an amount not to exceed $2,346,659.90. There was no County match of funds required.
On April 8, 2025, an amended resolution was presented to your Board for consideration to correct a missing section from the original resolution.
