Subject: Approve Request to Waive 900 Hour Limit for Social Services Extra-Help Facilities Maintenance Worker Steven Baker


Executive Summary:
The Department of Social Services is requesting approval to exceed the 900-hour extra-help limit for DSS Facilities Maintenance Worker Steven Baker.

The Department has projects due to be completed by June 30, 2026 and Steven is an important part of the Department's ability to meet this deadline. Hours worked this fiscal year will not exceed 990.

Funds for this position are allocated in Budget Unit 5011, and there are sufficient funds available to cover additional hours.

Steven is not a PERS retiree and is not governed by the same rules that apply to a PERS retiree.
