Memorandum

Date:                                          December 17, 2024

To:                                          The Honorable Lake County Board of Supervisors

From:                                          Anthony Arton, Health Services Director

Subject:                     Consideration of Revised Emergency Medical Care Committee Bylaws

Executive Summary:

The Lake County Emergency Medical Care Committee has decided to amend their current By-Laws that were recently amended on March 5th 2024 to add additional clarity on attendance requirements including structure around attending meetings virtually. These revisions make clear that in-person attendance is expected whenever practical. The new By-Laws also require in-person attendance by a representative from the Local Emergency Medical Services Authority (LEMSA) North Coast EMS. These changes do allow some flexibility to attend virtually when needed for good cause, and supports virtual attendance and participation by any number of stakeholders and citizens.
