Executive Summary: (include fiscal and staffing impact narrative):

Lake County Sanitation District (LACOSAN) is proposing a rate increase to the current rates for the South Lakeport, Land's End and Reeves Point service area. In compliance with California Proposition 218, property owners within the district with active accounts were mailed a letter informing them of the proposed increase. The required public notice was mailed on April 3, 2026 and the public hearing was held more than 45 days later on May 19, 2026. At the close of the public hearing a majority protest was not established and the Board took action to introduce the rate ordinance.

Attached for your consideration is the rate ordinance which was introduced and amended on May 19, 2026 at the conclusion of the public hearing and is presented today for a second reading and adoption.
