Subject: Consideration of Letter of Support for the City of Clearlake's Lakeshore Drive Safety Enhancement Project Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Implementation Grant Program

Executive Summary:
The City of Clearlake is attempting to obtain a United States Department of Transportation grant called the Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Implementation Grant Program. This grant, in conjunction with other funds acquired by the City of Clearlake, would promote safer, multimodal transportation options, reduce vehicle miles traveled, and cut down on emissions on Lakeshore Drive between Olympic Drive and State Route 53. The enhancements to the area would include new sidewalks, dedicated bicycle lanes, refuge islands, ADA-compliant curb ramps, green stormwater infrastructure and enhanced lighting.

The City of Clearlake is seeking letters of support from partner agencies to help build a more robust package to submit with this grant application.
