Executive Summary:
Animal Care and Control is requesting Board approval to accept a donation in the amount of
$25,094.69 from Linda K. Warren. As a department that provides a meaningful service to its community, the challenges can sometimes cast a shadow over the successes. This department's mission is to save lives and enhance the life experience of the residents of Lake County through prevention of unhealthy animal populations, while fostering an educational approach to county code enforcement and community engagement. Amidst these challenges, a good Samaritan offered this generous donation to the work of this department's cause. In accepting this donation, it is the intent of our department to purchase a commercial style washer and dryer. $25,096.69 will be added to the Capital Asset list in BU 2711, Equipment/Other account 62-74. This new addition to the facility would help the everyday upkeep of the animals being cared for at the shelter.
