From: Lars Ewing, Public Works Director
Subject: Approve Contract Change Order No. 2 for the Kelseyville Sidewalks Project, County Project No. 251335, Federal Project No. HIPL-5914(133), increasing the contract amount by $5,500 for a total revised contract amount of $811,613, and authorize the Chair to sign
Executive Summary:
Attached for the Board's consideration is Contract Change Order No. 2 (CCO 2) for the Kelseyville Sidewalks Project. CCO 2 addresses the replacement of an existing drainage inlet that was anticipated to remain in place. However, during excavation for the sidewalk on either side of the drainage inlet, it was determined that the inlet lid was damaged beyond repair. The additional work results in an increase of $5,500 to the contract amount of $806,113, for a revised total contract amount of $811,613. The change order represents approximately 0.7% of the original contract amount.
This project is funded through the Federal Highway Infrastructure Program using Congressional Directed Spending secured from Congressman Mike Thompson, as well as County SB 1 funds. Sufficient appropriations are available to cover the additional construction costs associated with this change order.
