Subject: (a) Approve Agreement No. BSCC 1527-25 by and between the Board of State and Community Corrections and the County of Lake in the amount of $52,326.00, for law enforcement equipment and training; (b) Adopt the Governing Body Resolution; (c) Adopt the Resolution amending Resolution to amend the adopted budget for FY 2025-2026 by adjusting revenues and appropriations in Budget Unit 2201-Sheriff/Coroner; (d) Approve Appendix C, Certification of Compliance and (e) Authorize the Sheriff/Coroner as the Authorized Payee to sign any additional documents
Executive Summary: On September 8th, 2025, the Lake County Sheriff's office applied for the Edward Bryne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program through the Board of State Community Corrections. Lake County is eligible for up to $52,326.00 in funding disbursed from October 1st, 2025 through September 30th, 2026
The Sheriff's office proposal requested the full amount of $52,326.00
On October 7th, 2025, a representative from the Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) notified staff that Lake County's application met their committee's rating criteria and is recommended for approval. Attached are the following documents:
