Executive Summary:

The State Water Resources Control Board Permits for the construction of the FMAG HMPG Culverts No. 1 and No. 2 Projects required the County of Lake to purchase wetland mitigation credits from a US Army Corps of Engineers approved wetland mitigation bank.

The Public Works Department selected the Seigler Valley Wetland Mitigation Bank because it is the only U.S. Army Corps of Engineers approved wetland mitigation bank in the County of Lake Service Area.

The County of Lake will purchase mitigation credits from Seigler Valley Wetland Mitigation Bank in the amount of $28,635.00 for the Culvert No. 1 Project and in the amount of $11,385.00 for the Culvert No. 2 Project for a total amount of $40,020.00 for both projects.

In accordance with the County of Lake Ordinance, Article X. "Purchasing," Section 2-27, "Delegation of Authority and Unlawful Purchases" and Section 2-36.1(c), the Public Works Director/Assistant Purchasing Agent is authorized to sign the contract.
