Subject: Approve Long Distance Travel for Health Services Emergency Preparedness Coordinator, Dean Eichelmann, to Attend the National Healthcare Coalition Preparedness Conference in Orlando, Florida from December 9, 2024, to December 13, 2024
Executive Summary: The National Healthcare Coalition Preparedness Conference provides the opportunity for healthcare emergency management professionals around the country to share solutions to the ever-changing dynamics of the disasters we face in the world today. With over 40 sessions of content, sharing of best practices, building partnerships, and interacting with the latest technology and industry leaders, participants will benefit from advancing their individual and collective skill sets.
In addition to providing beneficial training, updates on best practices, and networking opportunities, attendance of the National Healthcare Coalition Preparedness Conference is a mandatory element of the Hospital Preparedness Program and its funding.
Therefore, pursuant to Section 1.6, E, of the County of Lake Travel Policy, we request your Board's approval travel to the National Healthcare Coalition Preparedness Conference in Orlando, Florida.
