Memorandum
Date: October 22, 2024
To: The Honorable Lake County Board of Supervisors
From: Susan Parker, County Administrative Officer
Casey Moreno, Deputy County Administrative Officer
Subject: Consideration of an Update to the CAL-Card Program Policies and Procedures Manual
Executive Summary:
In January 2000, your Board adopted a CAL-Card Program Policies and Procedures Manual. Since that adoption, there have not been any revisions or updates to the manual. County Administrative Office staff worked closely with the Auditor's office to prepare the updates presented before your board today.
Changes consist of updated document names and reference locations and clearer and more intuitive and organization of the document, as a whole. A new Compliance section was likewise added, to provide for revocation of a CAL-Card, should the cardholder fail to comply with program requirements.
Staff recommends your Board approve the revised CAL-Card Program Policy. Changes to policy will immediately take effect on your Approval.
