Subject: Approve Memorandum of Understanding and Electronic Data Sharing Agreement between Lake County Behavioral Health Services and California Correctional Health Care Services and Authorize the Department Head to Sign the County Secure File Transfer Protocol and Authorize the Board Chair to Sign the MOU.
Executive Summary:
California Correctional Health Care Services is transitioning to a digital records exchange process. Lake County Behavioral Health Services, like all other County Mental Health Plans, receives transfers from the Department of Corrections to coordinate care for inmates being released from prison with behavioral health needs. This MOU and associated documentation has been reviewed and approved by County Counsel and is required to move forward into electronic records exchange.
