Subject: Approve Long Distance Travel to the National Association of Pretrial Service Agencies for Mikala Knoll and Thomas Lairson, being held in Reno, Nevada, August 30th through September 2, 2026.

Executive Summary:

The National Association of Pretrial Service Agencies Annual Conference and Training Institute is being held in Reno, Nevada, August 30th through September 2, 2026. Officers Knoll and Lairson handle all pretrial cases for the Probation Department and this conference is the premier training for pretrial services. Because of the distance of the conference, the officers may need to travel the day before and the day after depending on the timing of the classes.

Pursuant to the County of Lake Travel Policy 15-1.3(D), I respectfully request your Board's approval for Mikala Knoll and Thomas Lairson to travel out of State to attend the National Association of Pretrial Service Agencies Annual Conference and Training Institute in Reno, Nevada.
