SUBJECT:                                           Approve Acceptance of $10,000 Donation for the Middletown Library

 

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The County Librarian requests that the Lake County Board of Supervisors accept the generous donation of $10,000 to buy new non-fiction, fiction, and books of literature for the Middletown branch of the Lake County Library. This donation has been provided by a community member who wishes to remain anonymous. The library agrees that this would be a great asset for patrons of the Middletown branch and agrees to ensure the funds are spent for this purpose.

FISCAL IMPACT (Narrative): The funds would be received in the Library Improvement fund, Fund 71, which is used to receive and expend community donations.
