Subject: Consideration of North Coast Opportunities BUILD Program Amendment Number 1 Between the County of Lake and North Coast Opportunities, Inc. for the Purpose of increasing the contract by $265,000 to fund an additional cohort, and Authorize Chair to Sign

Executive Summary:
On January 6, 2023, the Board of Supervisors approved an agreement to provide funding in support of the BUILD program, facilitated by North Coast Opportunities, Inc. The funding came from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and the $800,000.00 has been fully transferred to support multiple cohorts.

The cost of a BUILD cohort is $265,000. The ARPA committee met on August 22, 2024, and recommended for your board's approval, to fund one additional cohort while North Coast Opportunities, Inc. try to secure ongoing funding through grants.

Staff recommends approving North Coast Opportunities, Inc. Amendment Number 1 to complete an additional BUILD Cohort.
