Subject: Approve Agreement Between County of Lake and New Life Health Authority dba New Life, LLC. Executive Summary:

This agreement represents a rate change that became effective January 1, 2022 that was not captured in billing and payment to the contractor. New Life Clinic is paid based on the rate set by the Department of Indian Health Services and the Federal Register and is changed periodically. In 2021, the rate was $519 for Medicaid patients and $414 for Medicare patients. In 2022 this changed to $640 and $541, respectively. The Department was reimbursed for these services but then had to reconciliate the services and costs with New Life to ensure correct reimbursement back to New Life.
