Executive Summary:
Ms. Diane DeMichele, owner of the Boathouse Bar and Grill, has petitioned the Board of Supervisors (Board) for the vacation of a portion of the roadway known as Colllier Avenue (CR#306C). The portion to be vacated is approximately 220 feet in length and extends from the intersection with Lakeshore Blvd southerly to Clear Lake. The portion north of Lakeshore Blvd will not be vacated.
The attached Resolution of Intent will set forth the location of the proposed vacation, the date and time of the public hearing, and directs the Clerk of the Board to give notice pursuant to Sections 8322 and 8323 of the Streets and Highways Code.
BACKGROUND
Ms. DeMichele's and the Boathouse Bar and Grill wish to expand their docks and parking lot for seasonal customer use. The proposed vacation will not 'landlock' any parcel. All recorded private access easements will remain in place as will any public or private utility easements.
On May 23, 2024, the Planning Commission heard the request for the vacation and found it to be in conformance with the Lake County General Plan. During this public hearing there was no public opposition to the proposed vacation.
