Memorandum

Date: July 9, 2024

To: The Honorable Lake County Board of Supervisors

From: Glen March, Public Works Director

Subject: Consideration of Plans and Specifications for the 2024 Pavement Rehabilitation Project; Bid No. 24-39

Executive Summary:

The Plans and Specifications for the 2024 Pavement Rehabilitation Project are substantially complete, and a copy has been filed with the Clerk of the Board.

The construction estimate is approximately $8,929,115.61.

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) provides SB1 (Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017) funds for road maintenance, rehabilitation, and critical safety projects on the local streets and road systems. The County's SB1 fund balance is sufficient to cover construction costs. The necessary SB1 funds will allocated to the project budget for construction costs when the construction contract is awarded.

Note: To minimize reproduction costs, the original documents are attached to the Clerk's copy of the original cover memo and only a copy of this memo is furnished to each individual board member.
