Subject: Approve Long Distance Travel for Dean Eichelmann, Emergency Preparedness Coordinator, to attend the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) Preparedness Summit in San Antonio, Texas from April 28 to May 2, 2025.
Executive Summary:
The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) Preparedness Summit provides the opportunity for healthcare emergency management professionals around the country to share solutions to the ever-changing dynamics of the disasters we face in the world today. With over several sessions of content, sharing of best practices, building partnerships, and interacting with the latest technology and industry leaders, participants will benefit from advancing their individual and collective skill sets.
Attendance of the NACCHO Preparedness Summit is also part of the Hospital Preparedness Program Grant requirements which Lake County Health Services is a recipient of.
Therefore, pursuant to Section 1.6, E, of the County of Lake Travel Policy, we request your Board approve travel to the NACCHO Preparedness Summit in San Antonio, Texas for Dean Eichelmann to access this beneficial training opportunity.
