Subject: Consideration of Agreement between the County of Lake and STRATA Architecture Planning Management for Architectural/Engineering Services for the Courthouse Heating Ventilation and Cooling (HVAC) System.
Executive Summary:
In the current FY 23-24 budget through ARPA funds, your board authorized appropriations in budget unit 1671 for the evaluation of the Courthouse HVAC system and to perform appropriate system upgrades. The Public Services Department recently solicited proposals from qualified firms to evaluate the current HVAC system, provide recommendations to improve the system, and determine the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of those recommendations.
The solicitation resulted in three proposals. Staff convened a consultant selection committee in accordance with the County's consultant selection policy, and the committee's unanimous recommendation was to award the project to STRATA Architecture Planning Management (STRATA).
Staff has completed negotiations with STRATA and recommends your Board's approval of the attached agreement in an amount not to exceed $58,300.00.
