To: The Honorable Lake County Board of Supervisors

From: Shane French, Information Technology Director

Subject: Waive the formal bidding requirement and authorize the IT Director to issue a Purchase Order for Microsoft365 and associated services renewal in the amount of $343,629.24.

Executive Summary:

The County of Lake utilizes Microsoft365 cloud services for collaboration, security, and productivity software. These services are purchased yearly as a subscription. We currently purchase licenses for 1100 users along with several SQL server, Visio, and PowerBI licenses.
This software suite is the primary office/productivity suite used by all departments serviced by County Information Technology and must be renewed yearly in order to continue utilizing the software and systems.

We are requesting your Board to waive the formal bidding requirement and approve this purchase in the amount of $343,629.24 for fiscal year 2024-2025. The purchase will be made using the cooperative County of Riverside LSP contract.
