Subject: (Sitting as the Board of Directors of the Lake County Watershed Protection District) Adopt Resolution Authorizing Acceptance of Grant Funds for AEM (Airborne Electromagnetic) Survey of Lake County's Groundwater Basins for the amount not to succeed of $300,000.
Executive Summary:
The Blue Ribbon Committee for the Rehabilitation of Clear Lake (BRC) recommends projects for funding to the California Natural Resources Agency (CNRA) which meet certain criteria to achieve their committee purpose.
The District proposed the AEM (Airborne Electromagnetic) Survey of Lake County's Groundwater Basins project to develop a white paper / report discussing groundwater issues and trends across various groundwater basins within Lake County which satisfied the criteria of the BRC to meet their purpose.
The BRC recommended the aforementioned project to the California Natural Resources Agency (CNRA) and they approved the project funding. Prior to entering a grant agreement, CNRA requires a resolution from the District governing body authorizing the acceptance of the grant funds for the amount not to succeed of $300,000.
