Subject: (a) Consideration of changes to the County of Lake Hiring Incentives Policy; and (b) Discussion of the existing qualifying positions and using the "hard to fill" criteria to determine eligibility outlined in the Incentive Policy

Executive Summary:

Staff recommend the following changes to the County of Lake Hiring Incentives Policy:

* To provide clarity, define a newly appointed employee as an individual who has not been employed by the County in a permanent capacity within the last 2 years.

* Discuss removing the existing list of qualifying positions and instead use the "hard-to-fill" criteria to determine eligibility outlined in the Incentive Policy.

The updated Hiring Incentive Policy is attached for your review and consideration.
