Subject: Consideration of a) Bid No. 24 - 41 for the Supply of Bulk Propane; b) Westgate Petroleum's Bid for Propane; and c) Agreement between the County of Lake and Westgate Petroleum for the supply of propane fuel from July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2027, and authorize the Chair to sign
Executive Summary: Staff solicited competitive bids on June 13, 2024, for the bulk delivery of propane on behalf of the County. Bulk Propane will be delivered to various storage tanks, of which the County purchases approximately 125,975 gallons per year. Bid pricing was submitted as a flat price differential (margin) above the base which shall be the daily OPIS - San Francisco, UBD Rack Average. Three bidders responded as follows:

Staff is recommending the award of the bulk propane agreement to Westgate Petroleum. Westgate Petroleum qualifies as a local vendor and their submitted bid had the lowest per gallon margin.
The term of the proposed Agreement is effective July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2027.
