Memorandum

Date: May 9, 2023

To: The Honorable Lake County Board of Supervisors

From: Stephen Carter, Jr. Interim Behavioral Health Services Director

Subject: Approve Amendment No. 2 to the Contract between the County of Lake and the Lake County Office of Education with no change to the contract maximum for Fiscal Years 2021-26 and Authorize the Board Chair to Sign.

Executive Summary:

Lake County Behavioral Health Services (LCBHS) and the Lake County Office of Education (LCOE) entered into a fully executed Agreement for the provision of Mental Health Student Services (MHSSA) Grant services on 10/06/2022.

This second amendment reflect a budget modification for MHSSA grant funding approved by the Mental Health Services Oversight and Accountability Commission on 02/22/2023. This budget modification reallocated unspent grant funds from the first year into the second year.

We are working hard in partnership with LCOE to launch this program successfully and this contract amendment is a critical piece of that work.
