Memorandum
Date: July 28, 2026
To: The Honorable Lake County Board of Supervisors
From: Brad Rasmussen, District 4 Supervisor
Bruno Sabatier, District 2 Supervisor
Subject: ADDENDUM - Approve 2nd Amendment to the Agreement Between County of Lake - Lake County Behavioral Health Services as Lead Agency for the Lake County Continuum of Care and Redwood Community Services for Fiscal Years 2023/24, 24/25 and 25/26 with no change to Contract Maximum and authorize the Chair to sign
Executive Summary:
The Board has approved Redwood Community Services to provide shelter services to our unsheltered population in Lake County at the Old Juvenile Hall since October 1, 2023.
The shelter has been maintaining a good financial status, more often than not spending less than anticipated in their monthly budget that was approved. This allowed for some savings. Due to the savings, we are requesting the Board of Supervisors approve a one-month extension for this contract now terminate as of July 31, 2026.
This 2nd Amendment was approved by the Lake County Continuum of Care Executive Committee on July 24, 2026.
A new contract is forthcoming to ensure the continuity of sheltering those that are unsheltered, while also providing services that can guide them towards permanent housing.
