Subject: Adopt Resolution Amending Resolution No. 2023-78 Establishing a New Classification and Amending the Position Allocation Chart for Fiscal Year 2023-2024 to Conform to the Recommended Budget Revising Salaries for Classifications in Budget Unit 2111 Public Defender

Executive Summary:

This proposed Resolution amends Resolution No. 2023-78 that established the position allocation and classification for the Chief Public Defender position. Based on the accepted Conditional Offer of Employment and in preparation of a final offer of employment, this proposed Resolution amends the previous Resolution that includes a grade and salary change for the Chief Public Defender classification.

Classification: Chief Public Defender

Current Grade: M62 Monthly Salary: $10,892 (Step 1) - $13,239 (Step5)
Proposed grade: M68 Monthly Salary: $12,631 (Step 1) - $15,352 (Step 5)
