Subject: Adopt Resolution Amending Resolution No. 2021-116 Establishing Position Allocations for Fiscal Year 2021-2022, Budget Unit No. 4011 Public Health and Budget Unit No. 4012, Health Services Administration and establishing a Public Information Officer as a County classification.
Executive Summary:
To support our continuing COVID-19 pandemic crisis response, staff recommends your Board approve the attached position allocation resolution to add the following allocations to Public Health (BU 4011) and Health Services (BU 4012).
Public Health changes:
* Add one (1) Public Health Nurse, Senior allocation for a total of 4 allocations
* Add two (2) Health Programs Coordinator allocations for a total of 7 allocations
Health Services Administration changes:
* Add one (1) Grant Writer/Manager allocation
* Add one (1) Public Information Officer allocation and establish a Public Information Officer position in County service.
The Public Information Officer classification will provide support to the Health Services Department by establishing and coordinating relations between the Health Services Department and media, and designing, developing and preparing public information materials using both traditional media and full spectrum of modern social media.
The salary has been assigned based comparable County positions and County standards per salary spread guidelines.
