SUBJECT: Approve Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Between the County of Lake and Alameda County for mutual aid provided during the River and Ranch (Mendocino Complex) fires during the Lake County Jail evacuation and authorized the Chair to sign.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The Sheriff’s Department requests your Board’s approval on the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) from the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office who assisted Lake County in their law enforcement mutual aid request from the River and Ranch (Mendocino Complex) fire.
Cost estimates received from Alameda County for the transportation and housing of the inmates during the Lake County Jail evacuation are projected at $418,000. No back up data has been received from the Alameda Sheriff’s Office as of the writing of this memo.
