Subject: Adopt Resolution Approving the Grant Application for the Land and Water Conservation Fund for Develop of Cobb Community Park

Executive Summary

The Public Services Department proposes to submit an application for the federal Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) grant program for improvements to the Cobb Community Park located at 16540 State Hwy 175 in Cobb. LWCF grants provide 50% match funding for the acquisition or development of land to create new outdoor recreation opportunities for the health and wellness of Californians.

Public Services intends to submit an application for the future development of Cobb Park including a playground, gathering areas, dog play area, trails, restroom, and other minor support amenities. Matching funds are anticipated to be provided through the County parks reserve or through the state Habitat Conservation Fund grant program.
