Subject: Approve waiving the 900-hour extra help limit for staff in the Sheriff's Office

Executive Summary: The Sheriff's Office requests approval to exceed the 900-hour extra help limit for the following employees:

Chris Macedo and Douglas Pike are each assigned to Court Security and funding is reimbursed through the Trial Court Security Account.

Janice Mills is assigned to the jail facility.

Each of these employees are PERS retirees and will not exceed 960 total hours in this fiscal year.

Von Morshed is assigned to Administration, and her hours will exceed the 900-hour limit. Brenndon Bosse and Steven Hobb are assigned to Marine Patrol. Their hours are reimbursed by the Department of Boating and Waterways if there is sufficient funding in the Department of Boating and Waterways Subvention grant. They are not PERS retirees and are not governed by the same rules that apply to PERS retirees. Their hours should not exceed 1,100.
