Subject: Adopt Resolution Approving an Agreement with the State of California, Department of Food and Agriculture for State Organic Program (SOP) Cooperative Agreement # 24-0092-000-SA for $4,565.00 for Period July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025

Executive Summary:

I would like to ask the Board of Supervisors to adopt the attached Resolution approving the agreement with the California Department of Food and Agriculture for the State Organic Program (SOP) Cooperative Agreement No. 24-0092-000-SA. This agreement reimburses the county for organic activities including registration, spot inspections, surveillance, residue sampling (random), complaint investigations, and approved training for Fiscal Year 2024/2025. The maximum agreement amount is $4,565.

Should the Board adopt this Resolution, please have the chair sign and return one copy of the agreement, and one copy of the Board Resolution to the Agricultural Commissioner's office for processing. A signed completed copy will be returned for your records.
