Subject: Consideration of Resolution Amending Resolution No. 2026-97 Amending Position Allocations for Fiscal Year 2026-2027, Budget Unit No. 1012 Administration
Executive Summary:
The position allocation resolution will amend position allocations to budget unit 1012 Administration.
Over the past couple of years and following the budget meetings last month, it was apparent there is greater need for financial oversite and internal auditing. Administration has also been short a budget analyst for over a year so the intention of this position is they would share their time between the budget process and auditing departments to ensure compliance with their budget and funding sources.
Funding for this position is proposed to be pulled from General Fund Contingencies through an interfund departmental transfer. Once we have the final fund balance for General Fund, we will replenish the Contingencies budget when funding allows.
Staff recommend approving the amended position allocation resolution to allow the Administration department to recruit for these positions.
