Subject: Approve Long Distance Travel for Liberty Francis, Tobacco Education & Prevention Coordinator and Patricia Wingler, Tobacco Education & Prevention Health Programs Support Specialist to attend the National Conference on Tobacco or Health Training in Chicago, Illinois from August 24th, 2025 to August 29th, 2025
Executive Summary:
The National Conference on Tobacco or Health training brings the tobacco control community together to connect, collaborate and advance the impactful work happening across the country. The training will have panelists, breakout sessions, best practice expertise, and strengthens nationwide partnerships. Therefore, pursuant to Section 1.6, E, of the County of Lake Travel Policy, we request your Board approve travel to the National Conference on Tobacco or Health in Chicago, Illinois for Liberty Francis and Patricia Wingler to access this beneficial training opportunity All costs will be reimbursed through Tobacco Education & Prevention Health Program grant funding.
