To: The Honorable Bruno Sabatier, Chair, Lake County Board of Supervisors

From: Benjamin Rickelman, Deputy County Administrative Officer

Subject: Approve Amendment to the existing Agreement between the County of Lake and Community Development Services for the CDBG Microenterprise Technical Assistance Program to utilize program income not to exceed $372,232 and extend the term of service to May 1, 2027, and authorize the Chair to sign

Executive Summary: On March 12, 2024, the Board of Supervisors passed a Resolution for an application to the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) to utilize Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program income, not to exceed $372,232, to provide microenterprise technical assistance program funding and to extend the program to May 1, 2027. The State has reviewed the application, and the County anticipates approval. A condition of approval is the extension of the existing agreement between Community Development Services and the County to match the three-year grant period of the anticipated standard agreement between HCD and the County.
