Subject: Adopt Resolution Approving Agreement with the California Secretary of State for Receipt of Help America Vote Act (HAVA) Funds in the amount of $8,324.38 and authorize the Registrar of Voters to execute the agreement and any necessary related documents.

Executive Summary:

New funding under the Help America Vote Act (HAVA) has been authorized by the State for election security purposes.

Funds received pursuant to this agreement shall be used to reimburse activities that improve the administration of elections for federal office, including enhancements to election technology and security, as authorized under Sections 101, 103, and 104 of HAVA.

By adopting this Resolution, the County will enter into an agreement with the California Secretary of State to receive funding in the amount of $8,324.38 and authorize the Registrar of Voters to execute all necessary documents related to the agreement.

The term of the agreement shall extend through December 31, 2026.
