Subject: Presentation of Proclamation Recognizing Kelseyville High School K-CORPS Graduating Class of 2026
Executive Summary:
RECOGNIZING KELSEYVILLE HIGH SCHOOL
K-CORPS GRADUATING CLASS OF 2026
WHEREAS, Kelseyville Community Organization for Rescue and Public Service (K-CORPS) is a two-year program in which the student is selected based on strict criterion and academic abilities; and
WHEREAS, the students work directly with the Lake County Sheriff's Office and are on call for two years/24 hours a day; and
WHEREAS, the members must show an ability to perform with a high degree of excellence and commitment; and
WHEREAS, the senior members assist K-CORPS teacher, Mrs. Larson, with training the junior members; and
WHEREAS, all members become trained in high angle rope rescue, navigational systems using maps, compasses, and GPS, search techniques including evidence search and body recovery, leading to certification as a First Responder; and
WHEREAS, these Kelseyville High School students have self-initiative and demonstrate exceptional dedication to themselves and the community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED that the Lake County Board of Supervisors does hereby recognize the Kelseyville High School K-CORPS Graduating Class of 2026 who are guided by their focus on the school's expectations of student learners - safe, respectful, responsible - and strive to achieve academic and personal success while giving back to their community.
