SUBJECT: Consideration of Lake County Economic Development Strategy
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Lake County Economic Development Strategy Plan was produced by Dr. Robert Eyler, Sonoma State University and Economic Forensic Analysis and sponsored by the County of Lake, the Cities of Clearlake and Lakeport, the Workforce Alliance of the North Bay (WANB), and the Lake County Economic Development Corporation (LCEDC). This collaboration represents a unified and proactive approach illustrating the commitment of each of these entities to strategic county-wide economic development.
The community was actively involved in the discussion and development process through community visioning meetings held throughout the County. The County of Lake is committed to economic vitality and resilience for all our citizens. As stated in Vision 2028 “to grow our economy and spur the creation of quality local jobs through focused economic development” which will be guided by the framework of the Lake County Economic Development Strategy plan.
The City of Clearlake City Council will consider the adoption of the Lake County Economic Development Strategy on February 14, 2019 and the City of Lakeport City Council will consider its adoption on February 19, 2019.
