Subject: Adopt a Resolution Authorizing the Increase of Appropriations in the Amount of $40,020.00 for Payments to Seigler Valley Wetland Mitigation Bank for FMAG HMGP Culverts No. 1 And No. 2 Projects

Executive Summary:
Government Code Section 29125, 29126, 29126.1, and 29130 of the Government Code provide authority for the Board of Supervisors to transfer and revise appropriations, cancel unused appropriations, transfer unused appropriations to contingencies, reduce estimate and cancel and appropriate designations and reserves other than the general reserve; and

The State Water Resources Control Board permits for the construction of the FMAG HMPG Culverts No. 1 and No. 2 Projects required the County of Lake to purchase wetland mitigation credits from a US Army Corps of Engineers approved wetland mitigation bank; and

The Public Works Department selected the Seigler Valley Wetland Mitigation Bank because it is the only US Army Corps of Engineers approved wetland mitigation bank in the County of Lake Service Area; and

The County of Lake will purchase mitigation credits from Seigler Valley Wetland Mitigation Bank in the amount of $28,635.00 for the Culvert No. 1 Project and in the amount of $11,385.00 for the Culvert No. 2 Project for a total amount of $40,020.00 for both projects; and

To pay for the required wetland mitigation credits, it is necessary to transfer funds to Road Division Fund 098, object code 63.01, FMAG HMPG Culverts No. 1 and No. 2.
