Memorandum
Date: 9/15/2026
To: The Honorable Lake County Board of Supervisors
From: Jenavive Herrington, Auditor-Controller/Clerk
Subject: Consideration of Change Order to Agreement between Lake County and Workday, dated 1/29/2025, to extend the ERP/HCM go-live date to 10/1/2026, and increasing the total implementation cost by $175,000
Executive Summary:
In recent meetings the Lake County Board of Supervisors delegated a subgroup to follow the progress of the Enterprise Resource Planning and Human Capital Management (ERP/HCM) system implementation to Workday. This group agreed to extend the go-live date to 10/1/2026 in order to give more time to train county staff and address various change management needs.
The decision to extend the go-live date resulted in a Change Order. The Change Order includes a 20% discount in pricing as well as three months of additional top-tier support for payroll and interest apportionment integrations from our partners to assist with the project’s success. The budget for this Change Order was included in the extraordinary budget requests at the June 16, 2026, budget hearings.
