Subject: 10:30 A.M. - PUBLIC HEARING - Consideration of Proposed Resolution to Adopt Amendment to the Health and Safety Element of the Lake County General Plan (GPA 25-XX) in Compliance with AB 2140
Executive Summary: Passed in 2006, Assembly Bill 2140 (AB 2140) allows California counties and cities to be considered for additional state cost-share on eligible Public Assistance projects by adopting their current, FEMA-approved local hazard mitigation plans (LHMPs) into the Safety Element of the General Plan. The Board adopted Resolution 2023-139, on December 8, 2023, which included the intent to update the Lake County General Plan. However, there was no following resolution to make the General Plan update.
The attached resolution corrects this oversight, in compliance with AB 2140.
