Subject:                     Public Hearing and Consideration of Resolution Appointing Road Commissioner for the County of Lake

 

Executive Summary:

 

On July 1, 2024, the Board of Supervisors appointed Glen March as Public Works Director.  One of the duties of the Public Works Director is to act as the County’s Road Commissioner. 

 

Section 2006 of the Streets and Highway Code of the State of California requires that the Board of Supervisors has the authority to appoint a qualified Road Commissioner only after a duly noticed Public Hearing on the candidate’s qualifications is held.

Recommended Action: 

 

Staff requests that the Board notice and hold a public hearing on Glen March qualifications to hold the position of Road Commissioner and if the Board finds him qualified, adopt and authorize the Chair to sign the attached Resolution appointing Glen March as Lake County Road Commissioner.
