SUBJECT: Approve and Execute the First Amendment to Contract Between
County of Lake and Lake Family Resource Center (LFRC) for
CAPIT Services, V-2
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
LFRC has provided Child Abuse Prevention, Intervention, and Treatment (CAPIT) services, consisting of Nurturing Parenting Program® classes open to all Lake County residents, under prior contracts, since 2002. The most recent contract term was January 1, 2016 through December 31, 2016. This was a one-year pilot project providing the Nurturing Parenting Program® during home visits to families referred by LCDSS. LCDSS wishes to extend the provision of the in-home Nurturing Parenting Program® through the end of fiscal year 2016-2017. Accordingly, the compensation has also been extended.

FISCAL IMPACT (Narrative):
The State Budget annual CAPIT allocation for 2015/2016 and 2106/2017 is $75,883.00 each fiscal year. Whereas the Contract was for a one-year period, the First Amendment to Contract expands the time period to one and one half years and the compensation is expanded accordingly. LFRC provides an in-kind match of ten percent (10%). There are no County costs; the CAPIT allocation is completely funded by the State.
