SUBJECT: Agreement between the County of Lake and Aurora Santa Rosa Hospital for Acute Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital Services and Professional Services Associated with Acute Hospitalizations for Fiscal Year 2016-17

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Attached, for your approval, is the Agreement between the County of Lake and Aurora Santa Rosa Hospital for Acute Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital Services and Professional Services Associated with Acute Hospitalizations for Fiscal Year 2016-17.

Lake County Behavioral Health is mandated to pay acute inpatient psychiatric hospital services for Lake County clients. Aurora Santa Rosa Hospital is an acute psychiatric hospital providing an acute hospital level of care. This facility has been useful for the hospitalization of Lake County clients when required. Ongoing utilization requires that Lake County Behavioral Health execute a contract with this facility.

We are requesting to waive the formal bidding process, pursuant to Lake County Code Section 38.2, as it is not in the public interest due to the unique nature of goods or services.

FISCAL IMPACT (Narrative): The total amount budgeted for Hospitalizations and Professional Services for Fiscal Year 2016-17 is $250,000. Lake County Behavioral Health is requesting the approval of the Agreement with Aurora Santa Rosa Hospital for Fiscal Year 2016-17 for a contract maximum of $50,000. This contract is funded by Realignment for Acute Hospitalizations and funded by Medi-Cal for Professional Services.
