SUBJECT: 9:30 A.M. - PUBLIC HEARING - Consideration of Resolution Adopting a Master Fee Schedule for Departmental Services Rendered by the County
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
In accordance with your Board’s direction, staff has been engaged in the development of a Master Fee Schedule to provide the public with a convenient and transparent single source document that reflects all County service fees. Article XXVIII in Chapter 2 of the County Code provides the authority and procedures by which the Master Fee Schedule will be established and updated. Consequently, presented for your consideration is a Resolution that adopts the inaugural Master Fee Schedule.
Once adopted the intent going forward is to update the fees at least annually by Resolution to reflect increases in the cost of providing services including changes in the Consumer Price Index (CPI). Departments requesting fee adjustments greater than the CPI will be required to provide cost studies that illustrate reasonable substantiation of the cost of providing the service.
All fees set forth in this inaugural Master Fee Schedule shall become effective 2/13/2017.
