MEMORANDUM

TO:                                          Board of Supervisors

FROM:                     Carol J. Huchingson, County Administrative Officer

DATE:                                          February 7, 2017

SUBJECT:                     Consideration of Letter of Support for Yolo County’s Low Water Bridge Replacement Project

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

My counterpart in Yolo County recently reached out to ask for support of their efforts to secure funding for replacement of the Low Water Bridge.  This bridge, on Yolo County Road 40, off Highway 16, in the Rocky Fire burn area has needed replacement for quite some time and in fact, has required placement of a temporary bridge to enable firefighting efforts.  Yolo County is attempting to secure state funding for this project and in light of our shared border, replacement of this bridge, leading to full access by emergency responders, is in the interests of our region.
