SUBJECT: Approve Renewal of Westlaw Legal Research Subscriber Agreement for a Two Year Period in the Amount of $26,208; and authorize County Counsel to sign.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Attached for the Board’s review and approval is the renewal of the Westlaw legal research subscriber agreement.
Westlaw representatives have worked diligently with us in negotiating this agreement to provide the same, and in some cases, improved level of access to legal research materials with minimal increases in annual costs. This will be a two-year contract with an established price plan for on-line legal research services combined with existing hardy copy state code law books. The cost for these legal services is $26,208.00. The County Counsel’s Office will have access to the following legal research modules: United States Code, All Federal Cases, California Analytical Library, Municipal Law Practitioner Core, Real Property Practitioner Core, and Regulations Plus.
